Gift cards

A gift card is a code worth money on Smile Hosting. Redeeming one adds its value to your account balance, which you can spend at checkout.

Buy one

1. Go to Gift Cards.
2. Choose a value.
3. Enter the Recipient email and, if you like, a Message.
4. Click Purchase code. The code is sent straight away.

Redeem one

1. On the gift card page, find Redeem a code.
2. Enter the code - it looks like XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX - and click Redeem.

The value is added to your balance, which you’ll see under Billing > Account balance. You can also type a code straight into the Gift card code box at checkout. Gift cards don’t expire.

Use one on Smile VPS

Gift cards with a money value can also be redeemed on Smile VPS, where they come off your VPS payments instead - see Billing, your card and gift cards. Each code can only be redeemed once, on one account.

Tokens

Tokens are a thank-you for paying. Every plan you buy through Stripe earns them automatically.

Remarque

Plans paid for with account balance or a gift card don’t earn tokens - no new payment was made.

Turn tokens into credit

1. Go to the Token shop.
2. Enter how many Tokens to redeem. You’ll see what they’re worth before you confirm.
3. Click Redeem for credit. The credit lands in your account balance straight away.

Your token balance is shown under Billing > Tokens on your dashboard.
