Set Xylo up for your server
Welcome messages, auto roles, auto-mod, levels, the economy and which commands are on.
Xylo’s dashboard is where a server’s managers set it up.
Open the dashboard
Run /dashboard in your server, or go to xylo.smilehosting.tech, log in with Discord and pick the server. You need the Manage Server permission in it.
Make your changes, then click Save changes. Xylo uses the new settings straight away.
What you can set up
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Welcome & leave messages | Post a message (or a card with their avatar) when someone joins, optionally DM them too, and post when someone leaves |
| Auto roles | Roles everyone gets when they join |
| Mod log | One channel with every ban, kick, timeout, warning, purge and auto-mod action - plus joins and leaves |
| Auto-mod | Removes invite links, any links, messages in capitals, too many mentions or blocked words - and can warn or time out the sender. Choose roles and channels it ignores |
| Levels | Where level-ups are announced (where they chatted, a channel, by DM, or nowhere), the message, roles given at certain levels, and channels that don’t earn XP |
| Economy | Your currency’s name and emoji, how much /daily gives and what /work pays |
| Fun, games & AI | Turn each of these categories on or off |
| Commands | Turn single commands off in this server |
Placeholders in messages
Welcome, leave and level-up messages can include:
| Write | Shows |
|---|---|
{user} |
A mention of the member |
{username} |
Their name, without pinging them |
{server} |
Your server’s name |
{count} |
How many members the server has |
{level} |
The level they’ve reached (level-up messages) |
ConsejoFor auto roles and level rewards, Xylo’s own role must be above those roles in Server Settings > Roles. The dashboard tells you if a role is too high for Xylo to give.
