Install Smile on Windows
Download, install and sign in - about a minute.
Smile for Windows runs on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).
Install
- Go to auth.smilecorp.co.uk/download and click Download for Windows.
- Run
Smile-Setup-<version>.exe. It installs just for you - no admin rights needed. - If Windows says “Windows protected your PC” (the app is new, so Windows doesn’t know it yet), click More info, then Run anyway.
- Sign in with your Smile account, then unlock (or set up) your vault.
Updates
Smile updates itself. Every update is checked against Smile’s own signature before it’s installed, so only real Smile updates can ever be installed. Settings > About shows your version, and the Catalog there lists what changed in each one.
Good to know
- Smile locks your vault when you lock Windows, the PC sleeps or you switch user (you can change this in Settings).
- Your sign-in is stored encrypted by Windows, so only your Windows account can use it.
- To remove Smile: Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Smile > Uninstall. Settings > Reset Smile in the app signs you out everywhere first.
