One app for your 2FA codes, passwords and every Smile service - on every device.
Smile Auth keeps your 2FA codes, passwords and passkeys in one vault, end-to-end encrypted: it’s locked on your device with your vault password before anything leaves it, so Smile can’t see inside.
The Smile app puts Smile Auth together with Smile Hosting, SmileMail, Smile VPS, Smile Connect (and the staff panel for staff) in one place, signed in once.

Your vault password
The first time you open Smile Auth you choose a vault password - a second password, just for your vault. Your Smile password signs you in; your vault password unlocks your codes and passwords.
ÖnemliSmile staff can reset your Smile password, but nobody can reset your vault password - it’s the key your vault is locked with. Keep the Recovery Kit you’re given when you set it up somewhere safe.
If Smile changes version by itself
Now and then our team needs to move everyone back to an earlier version of Smile - for example if a new version has a problem. When that happens, Smile downloads that version by itself and installs it (on Android, tap Install when Android asks). Afterwards Smile tells you which version you’re on now, with a note from the team if they left one.
Until it’s done, Smile keeps showing the notice. Once a fixed version is ready, Smile updates to it as usual.
