Share a VPS with your groups

If your Smile VPS account is linked to Smile Business, you can share a VPS you own with groups in your organisation.

Before you start

Link your Smile VPS account on your Smile Business account page. Your organisation needs at least one group - an admin makes them on the dashboard.

Share it

1. Sign in at vps.smilehosting.tech and open the VPS.
2. Under Share with your Smile Business groups, choose a group and what it can do:
   • Can see it - its status, details and Remote Desktop address.
   • Can see it and use the power controls - that, plus start, restart, shut down and turn off.
3. Click Share.

Everyone in the group who signs in to Smile VPS with Smile Business now sees the VPS in their list, marked Shared by you. Add someone to the group on Smile Business and they see it too; take them out and they lose it.

What stays yours

Its password, billing and deleting it stay with you. The people you share with sign in to the VPS itself with details you give them - for example a Windows account you make for them on the server.

To stop, click Stop sharing next to the group.

Remarque

Your organisation can stop people sharing a VPS with groups, or let only admins do it. If it does, the sharing box says so.
