Console, logs and power controls
Start, stop and restart your server, run commands, and read its output.
Power controls
On the Console tab:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Start | Runs your run command. |
| Stop | Stops your app. |
| Restart | Stops it and starts it again. Use this after changing files or settings. |
| Rebuild | Stops everything, including an app that won’t stop on its own, and puts the server back to Offline ready to start again. Your files and settings are kept. |
सुझावChanged some code? Press Restart. Your app keeps running the old code until it restarts.
The console
The console is a terminal window showing everything your app prints, live.
- The bar at the top shows your server’s name and whether it’s Online or Offline.
- Warnings are shown in yellow and errors in red, so problems stand out. Times at the start of lines are dimmed.
- If you scroll up to read something, the console stays where you are. A New output ↓ button appears. Click it to jump back to the newest lines.
The buttons at the top right of the window:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| Wrap | Turns wrapping of long lines on or off |
| Copy | Copies everything in the console, ready to paste into a support ticket |
| Clear | Empties the window. It doesn’t affect your app. |
Run a command
Type a command in the box at the bottom and press Enter or Run. It’s handy for checking a file is where you think it is, or running a one-off script. Commands you type are shown with a ❯ in front, so you can tell them apart from your app’s output.
The RAM and Storage bars below show how much of this server’s allowance is in use.
Logs
The Logs tab keeps the detailed output, so you can look back after the console has moved on:
- Refresh loads the newest lines.
- Copy puts the log on your clipboard. Paste it into a support ticket.
- Save to file downloads it.
Action history
Every start, stop, restart and rebuild you do in this session is listed under Action history, with the full result rather than just a pop-up. If a button seemed to do nothing, look here first.
Control it from Discord
On the Power plan you can also start, stop and restart from your own Discord server with /server start, /server stop and /server restart. See Connect your Discord server.
