Use a template
Start from a ready-made bot or website, and deploy it onto a server in a click.
Templates are ready-made bots and websites that other members, and we, have shared. Deploy one onto a server and you’ve got a working project to start from.
Find a template
Go to Templates. You can:
- search by name or what it does
- pick a category, such as Music, Moderation or Tickets
- choose a runtime, such as Node.js or Python
- tick Verified only
- sort by Most deployed or Newest
Click a template to open its page. It shows the author’s README, how many times it’s been deployed, and You will need: the settings you’ll have to fill in, such as a bot token.
What the badges mean
| Badge | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Blue tick, Verified | Our team has checked this template. |
| Gold seal, Verified · Made by SmileCorp | We made it ourselves. |
| No badge | A community template that passed review. It’s safe to list, but hasn’t had the extra check. |
Every template is reviewed before it appears. Nobody’s private details (tokens, passwords and so on) are ever included.
UyarıA template runs under your account, like any code you upload. Especially for community templates, click View files on its page and look through the code before you start it.
Deploy it
- On the template’s page, click Deploy this template. You’ll be asked to log in if you aren’t already.
- Choose where it goes:
- A new server: made on your plan, using one of your server slots, with the template’s start command already set.
- One of your servers: the template’s files are copied in. Files with the same names are replaced, so use an empty server or download anything important first.
- Fill in the settings. They’re saved into the server’s
.envfile. Any you leave blank can be added later on the Files tab. - Click Deploy.
- Open the server from Servers in your dashboard and press Start on the Console tab. Its packages (for example
npm install) install as it starts.
After deploying
It’s your copy now. Change any of its files, and updates to the template won’t touch it. To share it again with your changes, publish your own template.
Something not working? Read the template’s README first. Then check Find out why your server stopped.
